As you might have already noticed, I’m obsessed with sunkissed, glowing looks, so I couldn’t resist this limited-edition Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow Kit by Sephora. The kit was released last summer and while this multi-branded collection was sold out quite fast, it is back in stock!
I’m not sure how long it will be in stock this time, but since Sephora releases Glow Kits pretty often, I still wanted to share my review about this kit and each product in it. Moreover, even if the kit gets sold out completely again, you can still find the products, mentioned in the post, in stores.
Besides, I really love value kits like this one, because you have a chance to try different products for a price tag of just one full-size item and find what type of formulas or shades work best for you. Despite the small size, products in such kits last pretty long and if this is not a product you use daily all-over your face, you are getting more of a product than you think.
In addition to this, such kits are perfect for travel or as a gift for someone who loves to discover new products.
Overview of Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow Kit
Sephora Favorites 2019 Sunkissed Glow Kit features the collection of must-have bronzing and glow products, including two full size and six deluxe products – more than in Glow For It Kit released in 2017. The price for this kit is $45, with a total value of $103.
It is interesting to note, that the value for this kit is actually higher than the estimate: Becca highlighter comes in a mini-size which costs $22 at Sephora, while in Sunkissed Glow Kit, it is valued for $10.7, bringing the total value to $114. And it doesn’t include the bag!
Compared to its predecessors that came in a box, Sunkissed Glow Kit comes in a reusable makeup bag within a paper slip that lists all the details about the products inside.
The light-yellow semi-opaque silicone makeup bag with a zipper easily fits all eight items. To be honest, I’m not a big fan of material choice for the bag, as I personally don’t like silicone. Also, I would prefer to have the same pattern with palms and flamingo pool floats on the bag itself. Nevertheless, a lot of the reviewers complimented the bag, finding it cute.
Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow Kit features eight bronzing and highlighting products, with estimated value as follows:
- Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited – deluxe size (1.2g/0.04 oz) – approx $7.5
- Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow in Translucent – deluxe size (1g/0.03 oz) – approx $1.3
- Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel in 01 Perfect Nude – deluxe size (2.90 g/ 0.10 oz) – approx $11.2
- Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil Champagne Diamonds – full size (1.6g/0.06 oz) – $27
- Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Seaglass Eyeshadow in Suite life – full-size (3.5 g/0.123 oz) – $22
- Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz – deluxe size (2.8 g/0.1 oz) – approx $13.4
- Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz – mini size (2.4 g/0.085 oz) – $10.7 ($22 if purchased in mini separately)
- Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 Dew You? – deluxe size (5 ml/0.17 fl oz) – approx $9.4
Now, more details on each product in the kit. For more info on highlighted ingredients, please refer to my Quick Guide on Ingredients.
Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited
This is the first product from Artist Couture that I’ve tried. Diamond Glow Powder is a highly-pigmented loose highlighter with very reflective, iridescent pearls. The shade Conceited can be described as “iridescent gold-bronze” and is one of the available six shades. Compared to Sugar Daddy shade, Conceited has a more cooler, closer to neutral, reflect. The pigment of this powder is very fine, buildable and can be applied all over the face, eyes, lips, body. Moreover, according to the brand, each shade in Diamond Glow Powder was designed to work across all skin types and complexions, and Conceited shade is not an exception.
Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder Ingredients: Conceited
Conceited: Mica, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891). May Contain (+/-): Silica, Carmine.
I’m pretty surprised with the fine pigment sparkles, that adhere pretty nicely to the skin and are very blendable. Depending on the application method, you can go from a subtle glow to a foil glow look. In addition to this, I loved a short list of ingredients without harmful or doubtful additives in it. Finally, a little goes a long way with this loose powder.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow in Translucent
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow is the first product I tried of this kind. It is basically a loose setting powder but with a fancier, luminous finish.
As you might have heard, Laura Mercier is known for its super-fine setting powder, that blends nicely into the skin to extend the wear of your makeup without any cakey and flashback effect. Compared to the original setting powder, which has a matte finish, Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow finish has a luminous, radiant, but not shimmery finish.
Same as the original formula, Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow (that comes in this kit) is super fine. The main difference in texture would be barely noticeable sparkles that add instant luminosity to the whole face. The weightless, long-wear formula of this glowing setting powder is infused with pearl pigments to soften the look of fine lines and imperfections. While this powder makes your face glow, you won’t get any flashback on your photos.
In Sephora Favorite Sunkissed Glow Kit, Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow comes in shade Translucent. While this shade works across a range of complexions (fair to medium and tan skin tones), this Setting Powder glow is also available in Medium deep for medium-deep to deep skin tones.
The deluxe size of the product (1g/0.03 oz) might not be a perfect one for a large powder brush though and it doesn’t come with a puff as its full size or even mini size (which is bigger than deluxe) version does. Nevertheless, you can find always find way to use it with large powder brushes, by adding the product to your palm.
I think it’s a perfect powder for setting highlighters or adding an additional soft glow veil to your look. It might not be an ideal one for work or school, but a nice one for nights out and events. Finally, the list of ingredients is pretty good-looking too.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow Ingredients: Translucent
Talc, Mica, Magnesium Myristate, Nylon-12, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Lauroyl Lysine, Methicone, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Dehydroacetate. May Contain (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491), Iron Oxides (Ci 77492), Iron Oxides (Ci 77499), Ultramarines (Ci 77007).
Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel in 01 Perfect Nude
Also known as Ultra Shine Lip Gloss, this lip product has a beautiful high shine finish, inspired by gel nail polishes. In Sunkissed Glow Kit, the lipgloss comes in shade 01 Perfect Nude (one of 25 available shades) and its name speaks for itself. The coverage of the lipgloss is light so that its semi-translucency makes it work across all complexions, adding a nice nude peach wash of color with a light-reflecting shine to lips. In my opinion, this is the perfect selection of a lipgloss for a Sunkissed glow look.
I was surprised to find the formula so shiny and yet not too sticky, however, I do not like fragrances in lip products, and this lipgloss has a strong one ( which most of the reviewers actually liked about this lipgloss).
Ultra Shine Lip Gel has a very comfortable applicator, as shown in the photo below. Also, the size of the deluxe sample (2.90 g/ 0.10 oz) is slightly less than a full-size product ( 3.1 g/0.11 oz), which means you almost get a third full-size product in the kit!
Putting the fragrance aside, the formula feels comfortable on the lips, however, I’m not sure about the choice of ingredients for this lipgloss. If you look closer to the full list of ingredients, the product contains Mineral oil and Chemical Sunscreens, as well as a trace of BHT that I tend to avoid using in my pre-pregnancy routine.
Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel Ingredients: 01 Perfect Nude
Polybutene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Triisodecyl Trimellitate, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax), Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Dextrin Palmitate, Octyldodecanol, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Saccharin, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), Aluminum Hydroxide, CI 15850 (Red 6), CI 73360 (Red 30 Lake), BHT.
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds
This eye shadow pencil from Charlotte Tilbury is what you expect it to be – a creamy eye shadow in the shape of a pencil /eye crayon.
Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencils are available in 8 shades, that are “designed to enhance eyes by complementing specific eye colors“. Colour Chameleon eyeshadow pencil also comes in full size in this Sephora’s Favorite kit.
For this kit, Sephora picked Champagne Diamonds shade, the lightest one in the kit. In addition to the base shade, which is a nice champagne color with rosy undertones, Champagne Diamonds has beautiful silver sparkle inclusions. While Champagne Diamonds is designed for blue eyes, it also works for people with darker eyes, instantly illuminating the eye area and making your color pop.
The formula of Chameleon Eye Shadows is infused with Synthetic Sapphire for a soft-focus effect. The pencil glides on and blends easily into the skin, and it takes around 30 seconds to set it in place. Once set, it stays on for hours without fall-outs, thanks to the long-wear and waterproof formula.
The formula of Chameleon Eye Shadow pencil is paraben-free, however, it contains some other ingredients that caught my attention, in particular, the colorants. Finally, despite coming in the shape of an eye pencil, this product is not intended to be used on the waterline (inside of the eyes).
Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil Ingredients: Champagne Diamonds
Isododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG/PPG-19/19 Dimethicone, Synthetic Wax, Hydrogenated Polydicyclopentadiene, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Nylon-12, C20-40 Alcohols, Perfluorononyl Dimethicone, Synthetic Sapphire, Polyglyceryl-4, Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polyethylene, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silica, Polyurethane-11, Isoceteth-10, Tin Oxide, Tocopherol, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxide (CI 77491) [May Contain: Carmine (CI 75470), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Aluminum Powder (CI 77000), Iron Oxides (CI 77492, CI 77499)].
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Seaglass Eyeshadow in Suite life
SEA Seaglass Liquid Eyeshadow from Tarte is metallic, high-shine liquid-to-powder eyeshadows packed in a tube. It is the only “Clean at Sephora” product included in the Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow kit. It is also the second full-size product in the kit. The blendable, liquid-to-powder formula of Seaglass eyeshadows is infused with marine plant extracts, that “helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing and softening skin“. The eyeshadows glide on easily on the skin.
Seaglass Eyeshadows are available in six shades, and I find Suite Life the most flattering of all. The shade Suite Life can also be described as “champagne shimmer” with warm peachy-nude undertone and silver sparkles, that match the cap of the tube. From the swatches that I’ve seen on different complexions, Suite Life looks pinkish on lighter skin tone, and more peachy on darken tones.
While Seaglass eyeshadows are very pigmented and glittery, you can actually control the amount by easily swiping and blending them on your eyelids. Be mindful, that you might want to wait till it dries to continue with the rest of your makeup.
While you can use the applicator to apply the product on your lids and your fingers to blend it, to control the crease, I’d recommend using a clean brush instead of your fingers. Once eyeshadows are set and dry, they are there to stay for the whole day without smudging or causing fall-outs.
While the formula is cleared by “Clean at Sephora” commission, there are still a few ingredients that also caught my attention, such as Aluminum Powder, for instance.
Tarte Seaglass Eyeshadows Ingredients: Suite Life
Water/Aqua, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Calcium Titanium Borosilicate, Glycerin, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Silica, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Acrylates Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Tin Oxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Polysorbate 60, Gellan Gum, Sorbitan Isostearate, Algae Extract, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Aluminum Powder (Ci 77000), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491).
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz
Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer is one of the best-selling products on Sephora that also made a cut. This soft-matte, long-wear, transfer-resistant bronzer blends really nicely on the skin and indeed, instantly warms up the complexion. It can be used for contouring or bronzing.
The Sun Stalk’r is available in 8 shades to cover all the complexion. Shady Biz, the shade that made it to the kit, is the second lightest bronzing shade, suitable for light skin tone with warm undertones. While I absolutely love both the shade and the formula, I can understand why some people with tan to deep skin tone might not like this particular shade choice. However, as you can see from the swatches below, for people with tan complexion Shady Biz will work more like face powder, while for those with Deep skin tones it can work as a matte highlighting powder.
Finally, as with most of the products from Fenty Beauty, the list of ingredients for Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer looks pretty good to me.
Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer Ingredients: Shady Biz
Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Talc, Magnesium Myristate, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Mica, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Dimethicone, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Silica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Diisostearyl Malate, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethiconol, Phenoxyethanol, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Hexylene Glycol, Lauroyl Lysine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Water, Maltodextrin, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sorbic Acid, Tin Oxide, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Manganese Violet (Ci 77742), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891).
Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz
Shimmering Skin Perfector from Becca Cosmetics is one of my favorite pressed powder highlighters with a radiant finish and I’m absolutely not surprised to find it in a kit. I discovered this highlighter in Moonstone shade in Sephora Favorites Glow For It Kit a few years ago and fell in love with it from the first swatch.
In this kit, Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed comes in Vanilla Quartz, a beautiful, light gold shade infused with pink pearl, which is lighter and slightly warmer than my go-to Moonstone (pale, incandescent gold) shade. Vanilla Quartz is especially flattering for fair-light skin tones, however, it doesn’t mean it won’t work with darker complexions: for fair-light skin, it just blends better for a natural glow that is perfect for an everyday look, while for those with medium to deep complexions, it will look more as a strobing highlighter used to create a more dramatic effect.
Some reviewers complained about receiving their Shimmer Skin Perfector already shattered in the kit, however, I’ve never had problems with mine.
As for the ingredients, I’m a little concerned about the colorants at the bottom of the list.
Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Ingredients:Vanilla Quartz
Vanilla Quartz: Talc, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isostearyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Silica, Boron Nitride, Nylon-12, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Paraffin, Microcrystalline Wax, Tin Oxide, Polyethylene, Magnesium Stearate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Acrylates Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Potassium Sorbate. Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 Dew You?
Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter is a multi-tasking gel highlighter that can be used alone or as a luminizer added into your foundation or primer. The product is very lightweight and its formula is infused with coconut water. The product blends perfectly when applied to the skin and instantly lights up the complexion. The best part is that the little goes a long way, and the coverage is buildable, while this golden peach 50 Dew You? shade flatters all skin tones, adding nice shimmering warmth to the skin.
50 Dew You? shade almost color-matches my skin and is perfect for a no-makeup makeup look. The product comes with a dispenser pump which is very hygienic for liquid formulas.
The formula is infused with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5, which is also good for your skin as it helps to hydrate and nourish your skin. The list of ingredients is something to consider though if you are trying to follow “clean routine”, as it contains some not-so-good-for-you ingredients.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter Ingredients: 50 Dew You?

Swatches and comparison
Comparing swatches of all Sunkissed Glow kit products, from top to bottom.
- Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 Dew You?
- Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Seaglass Eyeshadow in Suite life
- Charlotte Tilbury Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil in Champagne Diamonds
- Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel in 01 Perfect Nude
- Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz
- Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited
- Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow in Translucent
- Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz
- Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone
I also added a swatch of Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone for comparison, as this is one of my favorite highlighter shade and I wanted to see how all the products in the kit compare to this highlighter.
As you can see from the swatches, the base color of the products has warmer undertones, while the glitter or the reflect is more on a cooler side, making it wearable for people with both warm, cool and neutral undertones. Unfortunately, this picture doesn’t fully show the rosy reflect of Becca Cosmetics’ highlighter in Vanilla Quartz.
Wearing Sunkissed Glow Kit
I decided to try all eight products to see how well they will match one other while wearing them together in one look.
For eyes, I used a tiny amount of Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited, blending it out all over my upper lid. On the moving lid, I used Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Seaglass Eyeshadow in Suite life, applied with the wand and blended with a finger. I also used a small eyeshadow brush to control the crease, before the eyeshadow sets in place. To finish the eye look, I lined Charlotte Tilbury Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil in Champagne Diamonds under my lower lash line and added a small amount of the pencil to the inner corner of my eyes, blending it with a clean eyeshadow brush.
For face, I used Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz, focusing on my cheekbones and then using whatever is left on the brush on my jawline and hairline. For my cheekbones, I used a bit of Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 Dew You? topped with a tiny amount of Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz. I also added a drop of Marc Jacobs highlighter to my nose and under my eyebrows. Finally, I set the whole face with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow in Translucent.
For lips, I used Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel in 01 Perfect Nude, applying it directly from the application.
Even though all eye products are so sparkly, it doesn’t look too much because the glitter is compensated and complimented by matte (natural finish) skin with a touch of shimmery highlighter (without glitter) and sheer nude lips. The translucent setting glow powder adds a beautiful veil to the skin while keeping it very subtle and it indeed looks good in pictures! Also, as you can see, all the shades work perfectly together.
Final Thoughts on Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow Kit
I think Sephora did an amazing job, putting a collection of these goodies together in one collection. While I’m not into Ultra Shine lipgloss, I’m definitely going to find a lipgloss in a matching shade from another collection or brand to keep rocking this Sunkissed Glow look.
As you could see from the swatches, all shades and formulas work really well together. I enjoyed creating this easy sparky eyes look. I might not wear it during the day, but I would definitely do so for night out (when we are finally allowed to leave our houses!).
As I mentioned in the beginning, such kits are perfect for travel. Sunkissed Glow Kit, in particular, is perfect for weekend getaways, festivals and other events, as all of the products are TSA-friendly and will fit in your favorite travel case, in case you don’t like the bag it comes with. Finally, a little goes a long was, so that the deluxe size of these products will last you longer than you think.
Sunkissed Glow Kit is perfect for fair, light and medium skin tones and it works for all undertones. People with deeper complexions may also enjoy using most of the products in the collection, but some, such as Shady Biz Shade of Fenty Beauty bronzer or Laura Mercier setting powder in Translucent, might not show on their skin as expected. I hope that the next Sephora Favorites Sunkissed collection would be even more inclusive, or Sephora will create several versions of the same kit for various ranges of complexions, as they did with Born this Way Foundation Set.
