Top 6 Amazing Beauty Launches We’re Super Excited About

From the moment I’ve started this blog, I’ve realized that the beauty industry goes along with the fashion industry at the fastest possible pace and sometimes it is so hard to follow the trend. Thanks to the social media, now we can easily stay in the know.

Here is our short-list of newly announced products we are thrilled about to try this month.

1. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Dream Glow Kit

Another addition to the Glow Kit Collection. The Dream Glow Kit consists of 6 pastel highlighters. The configuration of the pallet resembles the iconic limited-edition Nicole Glow Kit, while the shade selection slightly reminds us of Aurora Glow Kit.

Most of the shades are iridescent which makes them even more wearable than they seem to look in the pan. We are especially excited about he Magic shade that has at least three colors in the reflect – lilac, yellow gold and turquoise.

The inspiration behind the creation of this glow kit is The Neverending Story.

It was officially announced today and will be available for a purchase on May 22nd at Anastasia Beverly Hills official website.

2. HUDA BEAUTY Rose Gold Palette Remastered

This is the redesigned edition of the original Rose Gold Palette that was launched back in 2016. The Remastered pallet is claimed to have a completely new formula. According to the swatches, they are super pigmented and smooth. It also features a large mirror.

Here is the side by side comparison to the original pallet.

🔔 COMPARISON 🔔 . 👉🏼 by @melcastaneda of @hudabeauty of the palettes original Rose Gold palette and the new Rose Gold Remastered eyeshadow Palette launching 5/22 SWIPE LEFT . 👉🏼 Shophudabeauty.com and retailers @sephora @harrods @cultbeauty . 👉🏼 What’s New: Mattes: Even more buttery and pigmented than before, our eight new mattes are talc-free and give MAJOR payoff that’s easy to put down, blend, and build. The shades: Risqué, Doll Face, Demure, Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna, Sandalwood. Risqué is the new Bossy, with a richer plum red tone, Doll Face is a brighter red pink version of the old Flamingo shade, and Demure, the old Shy, is now a more muted coral pink. . . . Melted Metal: I’m so obsessed with this new addition! We’ve taken our unique foil formula and reinvented it in an even more lustrous finish, that can now be used with a brush, or for an extreme liquid metal finish, you can use your fingers. The shades: Dubai, Fling, Trust Fund, Rose Gold, Pink Diamond, a new soft metallic pink with a hint of silver, 24K, #Blessed, and Bubbly, a shimmering metallic champagne shade. . 👉🏼 Pressed-pearl: Similar to the shimmers in our previous palette, this pressed pearl gives stunning shimmer in a more buttery formula. I love using it for highlighting the inner corners and dusting across brow bones and cheekbones. The shade: Moon Dust. . . . 👉🏼 includes a mirror . . Amika: Polished Perfection Straightening Brush

After so many makeovers and color treatments (because life is too short to have just one hair color!) and changing 3 countries within the last 3 years, my hair is no longer straight from roots to ends. There is a part that I love about my hair now since volume is now present in my roots ( thanks to Living Proof Full Shampoo), however, the ends are not flattering at all. And while I can justify that “I woke up like this” hairstyle look is still in trend, it doesn’t always look good, at least, not the way it makes me feel beautiful #badhairday. And I’m too lazy to blow dry with a round brush every time I wash my hair.

I always avoided flat irons, because I didn’t need them in the first place and they are can cause damage to my hair. I’ve never had hair this long as I do right now, but flat irons are still not an option. Thanks for the existence of straightening brushes.

After watching several Instagram videos, I came to a decision that I need a straightening brush. And my research led me to Polished Perfection from Amika. It was featured in Allure magazine several times and it has become one of the best selling items at Sephora for the last year. After reading the description of technologies used and how user-friendly their brush is, I decided to give it a try.

Here is my unboxing and review video, where you can see how to operate the brush and why I think it’s the best one on the market.

What do you think about straightening brushes? Are you using a brush or still prefer a flat iron? Let me know in the comments down below!

Pantone Color of the Year 2018 Inspired Make Up For Everyday Look

Hello, my beauties!

Since Pantone, the Global Color Authority, announced Ultra Violet as a Color of 2018, this color is gaining more popularity in fashion and beauty.

Violet is one of my favorite colors and I’m really excited that this is the color of 2018!

If you go through pretty much every beauty brand today, you can find lipsticks, nail polishes, eye shadows and etc all in this shade. However, you may feel uncomfortable wearing such a bold experimental color to work or to school, but still want to catch up to the trend. If so, then this post is definitely for you.

Here are some tips of how to add twists of violet to you everyday look, and yet, keep up with your personal style.

Although there might be a little deviation from exact Ulta Violet color, all shades of purple and violet are still considered trending.

P.S. You can scroll down to the video where I do my makeup and then get back to the text to  read all the steps in details!

Eyes

For me, eyes are the most comfortable area to experiment with color. Violet is a shade that goes well together with all eye colors.

If you don’t feel comfortable covering your full eyelid with this bold color, consider pairing it with the trending mauve shades. Create a transition of shades from a light mauve color adding a tiny amount of violet to the edges and to your crease.

I like violet shades from Too Faced Chocolates and Peaches pallets, they blend in very naturally to the skin. I use Livin Lavish shade from Gold Chocolate pallet.

Add violet color to your lower lash line. My favorite shade for this is Osiris from Prism Pallet  by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Here are single eyeshadows for more matching color:

As an option,  you can also apply an eye pencil to the lower lash line and blend it.

My top favorite is from Sephora in shade 32 Tango Night.

If you are a big fan of cat eyes and can’t live without lined eyes, consider using violet liner instead of black.

Interesting fact: Butter London has partnered with Pantone this year and released a collection in Ultra Violet once the color has been announced.

Today, the only place where you can find the complete collection is only butterlondon.com. Interestingly, Ulta.com also has their products displayed on their website, but almost all of them remain “sold out”. But don’t despare: Ulta as well as Nordstrom has same shades of same product in stock. They just don’t have a Pantone sticker on the packaging.

Butter London features the Glazen Lustrous eyeliner in Ultra Violet.

If this color is too bright for you, consider its sister Magnetic. It’s a deeper shade and still looks more violet than blue on the skin.

To complete your eye makeup and open up the look, add Gumdrop from Anastasia Sugar Glow kit to outer corners of your eyes. It’s a dual chrome pink/lilac shade. For a bolder look, you can use Spectra Shade from Anastasia Aurora Glow Kit.

I suggest to finish with black mascara to keep the look more wearable for everyday.

Nails

Nails are another place where you can safely use violet color to be in trend.

Here are the nail polish shades from Pantone 2018 Color of the Year Collection by Butter London.

Misty Lilac  – Purple Rain – Marvelous – Ice Lavander – Hydrangea – Ultaviolet

You can keep it simple and substitute your signature nude/white color with Hydrangea.

As you can see, mauve shades also count.

For a bolder look, use a deeper shades with some sparkles like the Purple Rain.
